02 July 2026, 10:13

Within the framework of the “State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027”, the renewal of digital infrastructure in the region continues rapidly.
The Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, is taking important steps to provide subscribers with uninterrupted and high-speed internet.
In this context, work is also successfully continuing in the Sharur region. Currently, the construction of an optical internet network is underway in the village of Makhta in the Sharur region. In a short time, 279 subscribers in the village will be provided with high-speed internet. Immediately after the village of Makhta, work is underway to lay fiber-optic lines in the villages of Akhamad, Karimbeyli and Garaburj.
Thus, these settlements will be fully provided with uninterrupted, faster and more stable internet.
