On July 31, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Ordubad District Executive Power jointly organized an event on the theme of “Digital Education in the Native Language” dedicated to August 1 - Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language Day.
The purpose of the event was to present textbooks prepared in the Azerbaijani language in the field of information technologies, expand the accessibility of digital educational resources in the native language, and inform the public about the activities carried out in this direction.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Deputy Head of the Ordubad District Executive Power, Fargana Huseynli, said that the Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language Day are an important component of the policy implemented to protect, develop, and enrich our state language. She noted that in a modern era of widespread digitalization, the preparation of quality educational resources in the native language in the field of information technologies is of particular importance in terms of developing the digital knowledge and skills of young people, forming national terminology, and expanding the possibilities of applying the state language in the digital environment.
Then, the director of the Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center LLC, Huseyn Askerli, provided detailed information on the projects implemented in the direction of developing digital education in the native language and the upcoming goals. He said that the initiatives implemented in this direction make a significant contribution to increasing digital resources in the native language, integrating modern technologies into the educational process, and developing the digital skills of young people. He also emphasized that work will continue in the future to implement new projects in this area, expand cooperation opportunities, and apply innovative solutions. At the event, employees of the Center, Agha Rzabeyli and Hasan Jafarov, spoke and provided information on the content of Azerbaijani-language information technology textbooks prepared in accordance with international experience, their application in the educational process, and the role of these materials in the preparation of local specialists. It was noted that training courses have been launched in Ordubad, in addition to Sharur and Julfa districts. This initiative serves to increase the digital knowledge and skills of young people in the regions, strengthen their professional training in the field of modern technologies, and develop local personnel potential. At the same time, it is planned to organize trainings in the distance learning format in the future, as well as gradually expand them to cover other regions of Nakhchivan.
At the end of the event, the participants got acquainted with an exhibition consisting of textbooks, educational programs and educational materials prepared in the field of information technologies.
