On July 28, an educational seminar was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of the "National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight against Corruption for 2022–2026".
Relevant employees of the Ministry's Office and subordinate organizations participated in the seminar organized on the topic of "Ensuring Accountability and Transparency: Legal Basis and Institutional Structures".
The aim of the seminar was to increase transparency in the areas of public procurement, finance and supply, effectively manage corruption risks, and inform participants about the requirements of the legislation in this area.
Etiram Alakbarov, Leading Advisor to the Finance and Supply Department of the Ministry's Office, delivered a report on "Fighting Corruption and Public Procurement" at the event. He provided detailed information on measures taken to ensure transparency in public procurement, the requirements of the legislation, principles of ethical behavior, prevent conflicts of interest, and minimize corruption risks.
Later, Hikmat Alizadeh, Head of the Finance and Economics Department of the Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center, made a presentation on "Corruption Risks in Finance and Procurement and Their Management". The presentation provided detailed information on corruption risks that may arise in finance and procurement processes, the role of internal control mechanisms, and approaches applied towards risk assessment and effective management.
During the seminar, the participants' questions were answered and an exchange of views was held on the topic.
